SECURITIES AND CORPORATE LAW
FROM THE INDIVIDUAL'S PERSPECTIVE
PANORAMIC VIEW
A rare attorney whose practice covers both transactional and litigation matters, Jeff Dubbin brings lessons from the courtroom to the boardroom, and his understanding of the boardroom back to the courtroom.
A PATH THROUGH COMPLEXITY
Laws related to company formation and securities transactions reflect the variety of human experience. Dubbin Law is about finding simple solutions to difficult problems, wherever they arise.
BUSINESS COUNSELING
If you believe investor communication is paramount, Jeff has helped others like you message best-in-class disclosures. And if you are a founder, innovator, or minority shareholder, Jeff can help you navigate transformative corporate events from formation, to fundraising, to M&A and beyond.
SHAREHOLDER ADVOCACY
Having represented individual plaintiffs and nationwide classes against publicly traded companies for violating securities laws, Jeff has been working to protect investor rights and recover unfair losses for more than a decade.
OVERVIEW
Jeff is a rare solo practitioner that concentrates on both complex litigation and transactions. Typically, such a range of services are found at the largest law firms, and so are usually reserved for their clientele. The philosophy at Dubbin Law is that all clients deserve the broader perspective and higher level of service that comes from practicing in both the transaction and litigation worlds.

Jeff's litigation practice focuses on representing institutional and individual investors seeking recoveries for fraud, breach of duties, and other claims under securities laws. Jeff's transactional practice aims to help individuals involved in large corporate undertakings (founders, inventors, IP holders) safeguard their own interests. Jeff also advises public pension funds and private asset managers on disclosure, regulatory, and litigation matters. He is intimately familiar with large asset managers, having worked in-house at Matrix Capital Management.

Jeff is drawn to matters that present issues on the leading edge of securities law or contain sophisticated challenges that call for elegant resolutions.

The federal securities laws and other state laws related to the purchase and sale of stock and other securities matters are among the most complex. While there is no case or transaction too difficult for Jeff, he delights in finding simple solutions to complicated problems wherever in securities law they arise.

And for issues that need a team, Jeff leverages his extensive network to partner with national firms, local firms, and other specialists. Most prominently, Jeff maintains a complex securities litigation practice on behalf of investors against public companies through his continued association with Labaton, Keller, Sucharow LLP. In Jeff's deep experience at all levels of litigation, he has authored or contributed to successful briefs in bankruptcy court, multiple trial-level courts, three appellate courts, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Before entering private practice, Jeff served federal clerkships with the Honorable Marilyn L. Huff and the Honorable Larry Alan Burns in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. Prior to that, he worked as legal counsel for the investment management firm Matrix Capital Management.
Jeff received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Harvard University.
